Our Mission

The Urban Revitalization Fund of Rhode Island (TURF-RI) is a community development financial institution organized to address Rhode Island's abundant stock of distressed real estate and believes that inducing private investment is key to the revitalization process.

The Urban Revitalization Fund of Rhode Island is a collaborative effort involving financiers, non-profit agencies and public agencies investing in improving opportunity in Rhode Island's economically distressed communities.

Our History

TURF was born from the vision of the Southside Investment Partnership, an
early group of local community leaders who recognized that tailored
financing products would help support development of commercial real estate sites in South Providence and the neighboring West End. The vision was developed to embrace a wider geographic focus and a establish a certified CDFI. TURF's tailored financing products support the adaptive rehabilitation of Rhode Island's abundant stock of distressed real estate in urban communities.
